Frequently asked questions

Where will the funds go?

Your gift goes directly to us - and you can find out more on our homepage. This fuels critical areas of WAGGGS work, including world centres, leadership training, supporting our member organisations, advocacy events and international experiences for young women. Wherever you choose to give, it’s your participation that matters most.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments through the givingday.wagggs.org website will be securely processed by Stripe

www.stripe.com/gb/privacy and Stripe US www.stripe.com/en-US/privacy.

Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have included your postcode in both the address field and the card details field of the gift form. If there is still a problem you may have to contact your card provider and inform them that the payment is valid. For any queries please contact us at changinglives@wagggs.org

Can I see my gift on this website?

Yes! You can take a look at the donor wall to see your name, unless you’ve chosen to make your gift anonymously.

Is there another way to donate to you other than online?

You can give to your Member Organisation who will collect all gifts from your members and donate them at once through bank transfer. You can also give via bank transfer yourself or by sending a cheque. For these alternative donation methods please contact us at changinglives@wagggs.org and we’ll be delighted to help you make your gift.

I set up a recurring payment, what will show in the totaliser?

Yes, the total of your direct debit payments for the duration of time selected will show up in the total raised on the website.

I still have questions. How can I get in touch?

Feel free to email us at changinglives@wagggs.org

Is there a minimum donation?

No, whatever you can donate in support of giving day it’s your participation that matters most.

Question about tax-deductibility or gift aid

If you are donating from the US the most tax effective way to give is through the World Foundation. You can donate through their website https://www.worldfoundationgggs.org/

If you are individual donating from the UK and pay tax you can tick the ‘gift aid’ option on the form. WAGGGS can then claim 25% of your donation from the UK government.
